After the 2016 election, I wanted I’d get more involved with politics. So, I looked up the Democratic State Party website for local contact information on my town, Braintree, accept there was no entry or contact for the town.
Reaching out to a contact for a local town, I discovered the Braintree Democratic Town Committee had been less than active when it came to elections in recent years.
With a few other folks, we set up a Facebook Group called the Braintree Democratic Action group, and worked towards reinvigorating our local Democratic Town Committee.
My goal to participate in democracy was to encourage other citizens to participate in their democracy, by getting involved with the Democratic Party at a local level.
In this blog, I hope to chronicle some of my research and efforts into encouraging folks to participate in their democracy.
